Spring Is In The Air

This week the sun has been out a lot more and I'm itching for the summer to come. I want to wear my shorts, summer dresses, skirts and get my sunglasses out. I don't want to have to wait until I go abroad to get abit of colour to my skin. So this week my Folksy Friday is all about the springtime and sunshine. I have found lots of lovely summery items on Folksy this week for you all to check out.

  1.  Georgia - Spring Dasiy Madness.
  2.  Flying Away - Spring Bird Brooch.
  3.  Made by Dolly - Spring Green Rabbit.
  4.  Sparrow Primitives - Spring Has Sprung, Shabby Chick Country Decor.
  5.  Fuzz Bucket - Spring Brights Birdie Cotton Quilted Coasters.

Letterpress Printing

Just lately I have become very interested in letterpress printing. I love the idea of letterpress artwork and I'm very interested in creating my own designs using this method.
I have come across some brilliant designs, here are some of my favorite examples

Letterpress baby announcement designed and printed
by Jessica Hische. Amazing hand drawn type.

Self-promotional design. The coasters were letterpress printed on 60 point Pulp Board stock.
See the rest of the designs on Cranky Pressman’s blog.

Beautifully designed letterpress business cards again by Jessica Hische.
Printed in 2 colors, and the paper finished with edge painting. Stunning!!
