New Range Of Cards

I have been busy designing a range of cards from birthday cards through to new baby. They are all hand painted using water colours then scanned in and printed digitally on a thick 350gsm, FSC credited paper stock. With a light satin coating on the outside, the inside is left uncoated, making it easier for you to write your own message. Each card is also individually scored, ensuring a clean fold.  Below are afew cards from my new range. Letterpress Business Cards

As I am doing my first craft fayre 'Art In The Park' in Leek next month. I thought it would be a good idea to try and promote my website while I'm there. I've decided to keep my design clean and simple as well as using a quality card. I wanted to experiment more with the text that I have.

I have left enough space incase I decide to add a phone number, email or a pattern.

Spring Is In The Air

This week the sun has been out a lot more and I'm itching for the summer to come. I want to wear my shorts, summer dresses, skirts and get my sunglasses out. I don't want to have to wait until I go abroad to get abit of colour to my skin. So this week my Folksy Friday is all about the springtime and sunshine. Letterpress Printing - Experimenting

I've been Experimenting with my letterpress using just metal type. Here are some of the results.

Tomorrow I will hopefully have some designs using my polymer plates once I have backed them onto a base. It is very restricting trying to design using just type so I hope my designs get more interesting once I get the hang of using polymer plates.

Today I had my first go on my Adana Letterpress. I only did a small bit of text just to get myself started on how the press works. Over all I'm pretty pleased with how my first print came out. Hopefully I can slowly start designing bigger and better designs with time. Here are the images from my first print anyway.
