Im going on holiday soon which I can not wait for so todays Folksy Friday is all about going to the Seaside. Lots of sun, sea, sand and sangria! I love to paddle in the sea and feel the sand beneath my toes.

Hand Painted Gift Tags

I have recently been designing some gift tags using water colours, metallic transfers and my letterpress. They are all individual, hand-made and tied with a ribbon. First Craft Fair

This weekend I did my first craft fair in Leek it was just a small fair but it was nice to see the reaction to my designs and gave me plenty of feedback and inspiration. I shared a table with  local designer I know Stacey Gilbert who works with resin you can check out her work on Folksy - staceygilbertdesigns. Here are some photos from the fair.

Folksy Friday - Rain Storm

For the past 6 weeks or so  in Britain it has hardly rained at all, not that we are complaining. Today on the weather we have been told we may be due a rainstorm (whether thats true or not I don't no) which made me think about when I was a child and when I used to press my nose against the window looking at the rain hammering down and then the thunder and lighting would start and sometime the electric in the street would go out. How exciting was that! Anyway I was quite surprised by how many rain related products there are on Folksy so I've tried to pick my favourite items out.

Letterpress Fairground Greeting Card

 I've been busy on my Adana letterpress. I have designed a Fairground Birthday Card great fun for Children and adults. I've tried to give the card a vintage feel using a script typeface too. I have used to different colours on each card to make them more striking and  I've also designed two cards ranging in colour, so that there is more choose.
